Dennis Hales
Biography
Based in Stalham, Norfolk.
Dennis has been woodturning for over 30 years, but only took it up as a professional career 10 years ago. He exhibits at shows and galleries across the UK. Dennis undertakes many commissions and is a member of both the Norfolk Contemporary Craft Society and the Suffolk Craft Society.
Statement
I work with locally grown sycamore, holly, ash and maple. These white woods offer a natural canvas on which to incorporate a wide range of finishing techniques, which include water soluble dyes and gilded finishes.
