Based in Saffron Walden, Essex.
Joyce is a self-taught artist & has spent many years exploring & developing her painting & drawing, always seeking new challenges to push her beyond her comfort zone. She is a member of the Saffron Walden Art Society, with whom she regularly exhibits her work.
Statement
I am interested in the use of colour, line & shape to set up tensions & juxtapositions, harmonies & balance. Prompted by visual experiences, memory & imagination, I create abstract work to reflect the energy & pulse beyond the surface, leaving the viewer free to participate in the creative process by forming their own response to the image.
