Victoria Hall

Biography
Based in Norwich, Victoria studied History of Art at the University of East Anglia. Later she taught herself how to make marbled papers, having always been intrigued by the end papers in antique books. She set up in business in 1989, aided by a loan from the Prince’s Trust.

Statement
Much of my work involves replicating marbled papers made in the 18th & 19th Centuries which are used by book restorers. I absolutely love engaging with the past by researching & making historic patterns, but feel that it is equally important to create my own original designs & to make a positive contribution to the future development of my craft discipline.

Media
Hand-marbled papers made into a range of gift items.
