Biography
Based in Hinxton, Essex.
Prior to studying Fine Art Printmaking at Anglia Ruskin University as a mature student, I have worked in retail and customer service in London, Wales and Cambridge.
Statement
My work explores the significance we often attribute to objects or ‘things’ and the way in which objects often evoke or trigger a past memory of a time, a place or a person. I sometimes prefer to search for interesting objects; man made ephemera or from the natural world that also have a personal resonance and use these to stimulate my own memory and experience. The drawing and composition is often naïve and may not conform to scale or perspective, this allows me freedom to explore my world.
